  • Alcohol

    • HEAVY DRINKERS NEEDED FOR BRAIN
      IMAGING STUDIES
      • Seeking men and women from 21-55 years of age for brain imaging research studies if you currently have or had a problem with alcohol.
      • Participants must be medication-free (birth control acceptable). The study involves questionnaires, interviews and brain scanning.
      • The research study will take place at UPMC Presbyterian University Hospital. The study will be conducted over a period of two weeks.
      • Subjects will be compensated up to $1100 upon completion.
  • Cocaine

    • COCAINE USERS NEEDED FOR BRAIN
      IMAGING STUDIES
      • Seeking men and women from 21-45 years of age for brain imaging research studies if you currently have or had a problem with cocaine.
      • Participants must be medication-free (birth control acceptable) and willing to not use cocaine for several weeks. The study involves questionnaires, interviews, brain scanning.
      • The research study will take place at UPMC Presbyterian University Hospital. The study will be conducted over a period of four months.
      • Subjects will be compensated up to $1822 upon completion.
  • Smokers

    • SMOKERS NEEDED FOR BRAIN IMAGING STUDIES
      • Seeking men and women smokers from 18-55 years of age for brain imaging research studies.
      • Participants must be medication-free (birth control acceptable). The study involves questionnaires, interviews and brain scanning.
      • The research study will take place at UPMC Presbyterian University Hospital. The total time commitment is anticipated to be 3 days.
      • Subjects will be compensated up to $1000 upon completion.
  • Healthy Control

    • HEALTHY CONTROLS NEEDED FOR BRAIN
      IMAGING STUDIES
      • Seeking men and women from 18-55 years of age for brain imaging research studies.
      • Participants must be medication-free (birth control acceptable). The study involves questionnaires, interviews and brain scanning.
      • The research study will take place at UPMC Presbyterian University Hospital. The total time commitment is anticipated to be 3 days.
          • Subjects will be compensated up to $800 upon completion.
  • Omega-3 Fatty Acids Study

    • HEALTHY CONTROLS NEEDED FOR BRAIN IMAGING STUDIES

      Seeking men 18-25 years of age for brain imaging research studies.

      Participants must be:

      • In good physical and mental health.
      • Planning to stay in the Greater Pittsburgh area for the next 12 months.
      • Willing to provide blood samples to confirm eligibility.
      • The study involves questionnaires, interviews, and brain scanning.

      The research study will take place at UPMC Presbyterian University Hospital.

      Subjects will be compensated up to $800 upon completion.

  • Sexual Assault Study

    • SEXUAL ASSAULT VICTIMS
      • Seeking 18-25 year old women who have experienced sexual assault or sexual misconduct for brain imaging research studies.
      • Participants must be medication-free (birth control and over the counter medications acceptable). The study involves questionnaires, interviews, brain scanning.
      • The research study will take place at UPMC Presbyterian University Hospital. The total time commitment is anticipated to be 3 days.
      • Subjects will be compensated up to $700 upon completion.
